with Dr. Tiff Thompson, QEEG-D., BCN, PhD., LMFT
Recordings are available for each session, after it concludes.
This November lecture focuses on the neurophysiological basis of affective dysregulation, particularly in presentations of panic, aggression, and rage. EEG features often include high beta activity in the temporal and frontal lobes, right hemisphere overactivation, and disrupted inhibitory control networks. These patterns reflect a sensitized threat detection system and poor emotional regulation. The session will provide tools for identifying these markers and developing protocols to help modulate excessive arousal, impulsivity, and reactive behavior using EEG-informed neuromodulation.
This monthly lecture series presented by Dr. Tiff Thompson, a seasoned clinician and educator in the fields of neuroanalysis, EEG, and mental health, spotlights a specific neurological, psychiatric, or neurodevelopmental disorder, providing in-depth clinical insight into its presentation, pathophysiology, and relevance to neurotherapy.
