with Dr. Tiff Thompson, QEEG-D., BCN, PhD., LMFT

Recordings are available for each session, after it concludes.

June's lecture investigates the EEG correlates of early life trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), focusing on patterns of dysregulation in limbic and prefrontal circuits. Common EEG findings include rightward alpha asymmetry, frontal beta excess, elevated high-frequency noise, and hyper-reactive ERP responses to stimuli. The session highlights how these profiles reflect chronic hypervigilance, emotional dysregulation, and dissociative states. Participants will explore how EEG can be used to monitor recovery and guide trauma-informed neurotherapy protocols, including downregulating sympathetic overdrive.

This monthly lecture series presented by Dr. Tiff Thompson, a seasoned clinician and educator in the fields of neuroanalysis, EEG, and mental health, spotlights a specific neurological, psychiatric, or neurodevelopmental disorder, providing in-depth clinical insight into its presentation, pathophysiology, and relevance to neurotherapy.
