with Dr. Tiff Thompson, QEEG-D., BCN, PhD., LMFT
Recordings are available for each session, after it concludes.
This lecture examines the neural correlates of addiction and substance use disorders through EEG and ERP analysis. Addictive patterns often show elevated slow-wave activity (delta/theta), reduced P300 amplitude in ERPs, and frontal hypoactivation. These findings are indicative of impaired reward processing, poor impulse control, and executive dysfunction. Attendees will learn how to interpret these markers, track changes over time, and incorporate EEG data into recovery-oriented interventions, including craving regulation and relapse prevention strategies.
This monthly lecture series presented by Dr. Tiff Thompson, a seasoned clinician and educator in the fields of neuroanalysis, EEG, and mental health, spotlights a specific neurological, psychiatric, or neurodevelopmental disorder, providing in-depth clinical insight into its presentation, pathophysiology, and relevance to neurotherapy.
