Explore the complex relationship between chronic pain and brain activity through the lens of neurostimulation. Chronic pain is not merely a peripheral issue—it has deep central nervous system roots, often involving dysregulated thalamocortical rhythms, cortical overactivation, and diminished inhibitory control. This session dives into the EEG correlates of chronic pain, including elevated beta activity, disrupted alpha rhythms, and changes in connectivity that reflect the brain’s maladaptive response to persistent pain signals. Attendees will learn how these patterns inform the development of targeted neurostimulation protocols that aim to recalibrate neural networks, improve self-regulation, and support long-term pain management.

This lecture series features Nick and Tiff together.  Tiff will detail the profiles seen in various conditions and Nick will discuss protocols that he finds most effective in changing the condition’s presentation and its corollary symptoms.
