About Yury
Jury Kropotov (Yury) is a well-known researcher in the field of EEG (electroencephalography) biofeedback. He is the founder of the Institute of Medical Psychology in Moscow, which focuses on the development of new approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of neuropsychiatric disorders based on EEG and neurofeedback principles. Kropotov has published numerous books and articles on neurofeedback, including the textbook "Quantitative EEG, Event-Related Potentials and Neurotherapy."
Yury holds the following degrees and distinctions: MS in theoretical physics (1972, Leningrad State University), PhD in human physiology (Institute of experimental medicine, Leningrad, 1975), Professor in neuroscience (Institute of the human brain, Saint-Petersburg), Doctor Honoris Causa (Academy of Sports, Gdansk, 2013), co-founder of HBImed AG (Chur, Switzerland). Author of 300 scientific papers (including 12 books), specialist in neurosciences, human neurophysiology, psychophysiology, neurotherapy, neuronal network modeling. Awards: USSR State prize (equivalent of the Nobel Prize in the Soviet Union) (1985), Copernicus Prize (2010), M.B. Sterman Career Achievement Award (2021).
